The Not-So Mini "mini"

When you hear someone say " look at that Mini",
you automatically assume it's a small and nimble
cooper.. but not anymore.. as Mini has introduced
its older brother, the Clubman

Yes, thats correct, its basically a longer, slightly wider
version of the Mini Cooper. The Clubman is designed
for those who want a cooper, but need extra cargo
and seating space for their family.

The Mini in the automobile industry has made its name
loud and clear, but personally, I feel that Mini is trying
too hard to open up their consumer demographic as
the Clubman loses the "mini-ness". The Clubman
is still a coupe, still a hatchback, still considered as a
small car... but it'snot mini.

So is it also a wagon? I also just noticed in the image it's still a 3-door. Can people enter through the back as well? Not sure about the step that the Mini took, but I can't imagine any other direction. God forbid that the next generation Mini's become giant SUV's.

The original MINI had multiple variants including a Mini van, pick-up, and jeep. So its not surprising that MINI is starting to branch off. MINI also announced that they will be releasing a Mini SUV named the MINI Moke (named after the original) by the end of the decade. It is rumoured that it will be the size of a Honda CR-V which I do agree is going to be huge for a MINI seeing as the original was based on its base model using the same parts.
